What Do The Friends Of The
Library Do?
The Friends of the Library could use your help!
They conduct fund-raisers such as the monthly silent auction of very
special books, the on-going sale table of extra good books, the sale of
book bags and the large 2-day book sale a few times a year. With these
funds they support many ongoing programs at the library and purchase
special items that the library needs. Recently they paid for the
multi-media projector used for the movie discussion group, a TV/VCR
cart, brochure holders at the adult desk and items the librarians use
behind the scenes. They help fund the elementary age programs such as
Terrific Tuesdays, most adult programs, the summer reading programs for
children and adults, provide refreshments for the book and movie
discussion groups.
