Getting a Library Card

Library cards are free to residents and owners of property in Washington township, Hendricks county, Indiana.  Please bring a photo ID with current address to the Circulation Desk to register for a library card.  Applicants must be present to register, and parents must sign for children under 18.  A card should be used only by the registered holder.  The first card is free, but there is a replacement charge for lost cards. 

Residents of other Hendricks county townships with library service, may use the Avon-Washington Township Public Library by showing the library card from their home library, and filling out a registration form.  A Non-resident card is available for purchase by people outside of Indiana, or in areas where there is no public library.  Indiana residents living outside of Hendricks county, but in an area with library services may purchase a Public Library Access Card sponsored by the state of Indiana.  Please ask at the Circulation Desk for details.
